Beach Fried
No Shoes. No Shirts. Only Chicken.
The Beach Fried Manifesto
Beach Fried was started on the sands of San Diego, California, right where the boardwalk smells like salt water and sunscreen. The mission was simple: make chicken that is fried different, and never make people leave the beach to get it.
They had one golden rule from day one: "If you can't hear the ocean from the front door, we aren't opening a shop there." No strip malls. No landlocked highways. Just premium, burning-hot, ultra-crispy crunch served right on the coast.
Turns out, people like the sun and people like fried chicken. What started as a single spot on the California coast has turned into a tri-state shoreline takeover.
Playful Brand Identity
Beach Fried reimagines the familiar fried chicken experience through a playful brand identity inspired by beach culture, surfboards, and the carefree spirit of coastal living.
At the heart of the system is a curious chicken mascot designed to be more than just a logo. It becomes the face of the brand, bringing personality and consistency across packaging, social media, and every customer touchpoint.
Bold typography, a vibrant color palette, and a custom illustration system work together to create a visual language that's distinctive, memorable, and built to stand out in a crowded food market. Every element was crafted to make Beach Fried feel approachable, energetic, and instantly recognizable.
Their Coastline Footprint
Today, Beach Fried is keeping surfers, skaters, and sunbathers fed across three states, dropping anchors at the most iconic beaches in the country:
The birthplace. Catch them hanging out at Ocean Beach (San Diego), dodging volleyballs at Huntington Beach, and serving the crowds at the Santa Monica Pier.
Bringing the heat to the East Coast. They are frying daily right off the strip at South Beach (Miami) and fueling spring breakers at Clearwater Beach.
Lone Star coastal vibes. Find them keeping it wild on the shores of South Padre Island and the beachfront of Galveston.
Complete Brand Ecosystem
Developed by Dot March, the project spans brand strategy, logo design, mascot creation, visual identity, packaging, and campaign creatives — building a complete brand ecosystem with a personality of its own.
Beach Fried doesn't do corporate fluff, and they neither do boring food. They just do high-contrast flavor, massive crunches, and heavy dips — served strictly where the vibe is right.
